This is probably a dumb question, but I will be spending a few weeks in Mexico on the Uly and I will most likely have a hard time getting quality gasoline, let alone knowing what octane it is. That said, does anyone already have an ECMspy fuel map for lower octane fuel? I'm looking to setup the Uly with one for function over performance. |

If you had an 07 or earlier, you could retard the timing a tad. On the 08 and newer, it is computer controlled, I don't know a way to adjust it. I don't think you will have any issue though, others have gone to Mexico and other central/south American countries and I haven't heard about fuel being a problem. |

We have had a customer take his stock 07 ULY all the way down Baja with no issues. The stock ECM should be OK I think. If you have a hot day with long hard pulls and you hear any pinging just shift down and close the throttle a little. terry@jtsperformance.com |

I've seen octane booster in catalogs that comes in "ketchup pack" sized packets. You could easily throw a handful of those into your luggage for an octane boost if/when you need it. |

Read the fine print before using any octane booster, some of them contain lead and can damage the O2 sensor. |
