In the manual it shows a gasket between the airbox lid and the base but when I took mine apart to put the K&N in there was no gasket to be found. Is this normal? Im leaving the top off anyway but I just thought it was odd the manual shows it but it wasnt on the bike. |

Wera44, there is a gasket on the bottom or base plate of the air box that sits around the intakes but there is not a gasket between the inner air box cover/lid and the bottom/base plate. Hope that helps |

Wera, the 'gasket' is just a 3/16" wide x 3/16" tall (that is, square) strip of closed cell foam. Not even sticky on the down side. You can make it yourself. |
