The First pull was race ecm , buell race exhaust with no tuning. The other pull is the final product and was a 5 gear pull.

Yeah it was a Dynojet. When my bike was stock I dynoed on a superflow. The bike was 150 degrees first pull was 133 rwhp the next pull temp went up to 170 degrees lost 9 hp 124 rwhp. No matter how hot it got it was a consistent loss of 9hp. Our conclusion is the stock ecm retards the timing after around 150 degrees. No matter from 160 to 200 degrees 9 hp loss. If the horsepower was heat related it would up kept losing more power the hotter it got. The race ecm proved that theory. We made several pulls and there wasn't major loss of power like the stock ecm. This is just my experience with my tuning. Maybe others have different results. My bike runs great so im happy.

Great thread ... That HP loss remaining static @ 9 across the spectrum of 160-200 degrees is very interesting. Just from car experience (in particular forced induction), the loss is usually linear with the increase. Now I know something about my '09R that I didn't know when I woke up this morning. Not claiming to have known all that much anyways ; )

My bike is 2008 1125r and I had the latest flash when I dynoed it stock. So results may vary on an 2009. I just bought a 2009 1125r I will be doing a full exhaust and race ecm on this bike by spring. My 08 is a full drag bike now im in the process of putting my new swing arm on.

Thanks Joe you I been watching your progress great job!!! I weigh 200 in gear I plan on being 175 180 in full gear, not quite as light as you but every bit helps. I ran a 10.38 at 200 lbs so between the swing arm and me cutting my weight down 9's should be possible. I'll be ready spring.
