Here's the latest from weather.com (location Blairsville, GA):
I'm sure their predictions will change at least 4 times between now and Friday... |

By the way, Ft_bstrd- are you guys bringing any Buell swag with you? Do you have a head count from the Cycle Resort? I'm hauling instead of riding this time (2 Buells to bring). My little 4-cyl Ranger will probably be herniating itself trying to pull some of those mountain grades. It's my first trip to the twisties with the 1125CR. I'm leaving here Thursday and driving at least half-way; I plan to be there EARLY on Friday for a change and ready to ride! |

I'm working Friday but I got off Saturday so I'll be heading down early Sat morning. Looking forward to it, especially since I missed BTF due to a broken brake lever. C-ya'll in the mtns! |

Any of you all heading down from the North East or North Central areas, if you are heading down Wednesday or Thursday, the ride looks too long for a one day shot, PM me about a layover. I'm about fifteen miles East of I75, twelve miles East of Knoxville Tn. I can lead you on a twisted interesting ride to Blairsville from here. I'm leaving Friday morning sometime meeting up with a few more fellow Buellers. I have plenty of room for tent camping, as well as trucks and or trailers, so if you want to park it here and ride down and back from this point, that can work too. We can do the BBB(bonfire-burgers-beer, all items in stock). My price is the same as last time.....free or better. |

A group of us from Knoxville area are meeting Friday morning at 9:00 at the Shoney's on Lamar Alexander Pkwy(321) and 129 in Maryville Tn. All are welcome to join us. There are rooms that have come available at the Copperhead, they are in a nearly complete bunkhouse and a new cabin that they opened up for us, they are shared rooms that are being set up now. Looks like they will be around $30 per, You have to call as they are not on the web site 706-835-7433. |

It's turned out not to be for me. I was looking forward to seeing you all and meeting new people. Maybe at the WV rally. |

Anybody planning on staying past Sunday? I'm debating my plans cuz the weather looks crap for tomorrow. Riding down there tomorrow and getting camp set up is going to suck. I'm off till Wednesday, anybody sticking around after the weekend? acav |

Well, several of us are here, this place is beautiful! Awesome lodge, great hosts. They have really gone out of their way to make us feel great. It is sad that so many of you have stayed away because of Saturday's forecast. Today has been absolutely beautiful for riding, we had a "Barker" kind of ride over the Cherohala(that means keep up with him two up if you can). They are offering spots in the bunkhouse for about the same price as camping. Leave the tent at home, bring a rain suit, and be ready for a great time in an awesome place. That is what I did, call Michelle at the lodge for info. I would recommend a Maymadness ride weekend here, and a Junejolly ride weekend here and so on! I am typing this on their free to use computer in the lower lobby. They have wifi and good phone service all around here. Did I mention the food is great as are the rooms. They have up-graded some cabins and rooms because they are not full due to the weather reports for Saturday. So many near by roads to twist upon, good pavement everywhere. We shall see if it gets damp tomorrow. It doesn't matter to me, I see lots to do and great folks to hang with until the rain passes, that should lead to an awesome ride home Sunday. I might even rest a bit! Who would think of doing that on a weekend off! You all have a good time sitting at home this weekend wishing you had made the trip. I just wish my wife was here with me, hmmmmm, maybe next month..... |

Yeah, I got there Sunday after everyone checked out only to learn that I didn't have to sleep in my tent in the rain. I only wish I'd read the fine print and learned of the "Bunkhouse" I would have been there Friday night as scheduled. Oh well. +1 the place is beautiful. |
