Started using this GPS track and geotagged photo site and it is really amazing how you can share trips and routes. Now they are supporting the new tour option in Google Earth 5. Basically EveryTrail is a free web based program where you can upload your trip from your GPS and share it along with pictures. You choose the view to be map, satellite or export to Google Earth and look at the trip in 3D with your pictures. The EveryTrail site also provides a way to search other peoples trips based upon location or activity ( motorcycling, mountain biking, hiking, etc). Just a marvelous resource to both share trip reports and look for trip s you may want to try and take a look at the route, roads and geography. Here is a link to a Death Valley trip on EveryTrail

thanks-I go on a 10 to 14 day trip every year, this is a great tool for my journal. |
