I put some black reflective tape on today. I think it is a pretty good idea for night riding.

I've got black panels on the bags on my ST1300. Scraps from the kit I used on my helmet. It really makes it stand out! I'll need to research where I found kits or sheets of the material. |

That's what I did ,except with red and black. The black looks like a ghosted Pegasus until the bright light hits them.

Looks like neat stuff. Can you take some pictures of this stuff without the flash? How black is it normally? I might purchase this... |

Blaze yes where did you get the tape and did you just cut out the Pegasus? Also is your windshield painted? I have one I painted black just havn't cleaned it up to put on the bike. |

I have the black reflective tape on my bike/helmet as well. You can't even see it if you're not looking for it. I order the red reflective stripes for my wheels as well. They delivered white. I'm trying to resolve that now. |

Some good ideas here, thanks. I'm an advocate of being as visible as possible but I don't like the trend to neon greens, etc. Stealth decals work for me. |

I TRY to be invisible, in general. Gives ME more control of my environment that way. If the cagers can't see me, they can't TRY to kill me. Never enter an intersection while a wreck is starting, get there before or after. I do things like flash my hi-beams to alert specific drivers, so I guess I try to be seen/heard sometimes. Black reflective is a cool color tho, the whole bike done that way would be cool day or night. Z |

Invisible doesn't work for me. I don't commute to work on the bike very often because I car pool and the ride is bleedingly boring. But when I do, I'm on one of NJ's finest thoroughfares of death for 60 miles. Driving in the car can get hairy, especially when you leave the house at 5AM. Work requires me to wear something bright and reflective, and I support it. I actually wear the vest over my jacket whenever I'm traveling in low/no light conditions. In my relatively short lifespan, I've noticed more people just didn't see me rather than went out of their way to run me off the road. I've had a few of those, but no more than when I'm in the cage. |

I'm always afraid of flashing my highs at people perpendicular to me. I'm concerned they'll think I'm telling them to "go" and then they'll sideswipe me. |

Look on Ebay under reflective tape, some guy sells it in rolls or pre-cut shapes. I bought a bunch in the past at a reasonable price. |

Read the Hurt Report (that's its real name). Drivers are completely unaware of your existence on a motorcycle. Extremely few of those who killed knew anybody that rode. So, because part of my riding enjoyment involves being able to ride tomorrow, I want to be seen without me going overboard about it. Reflective tape works for me. See if we can get them in Buell colours. |

The top pic is with out flash and as you can (not) see the black is nearly invisible and in the sunlight ghosted. These were scraps an MSF buddy gave me and I just Exacto knifed the Pegasus and Buell background. The windscreen is painted. |
