Hey guys, I am putting stuff back together on an 06 XB12R and was wondering about a nipple on the throttle body. It is on the right hand side above the injectors and looks like a hose would attach to it, but unfortunately the manual doesn't show anything hooked up to it. What does this do and is it just capped or is there a hose that runs to it? I realize a pic would help out much more and of course I forgot what it is called, but I will find out and possibly post both if anyone has trouble understanding what I am talking about. It is gold in color and the nipple is facing up and is located slightly to the right on the throttle body. Again, I will post pics and find out the name shortly if no one knows what I am speaking of. Thanks! |

That is a vaccum port for the california spec bikes that hooks into the charcoal canister. All other bikes in the US have a rubber cap on it. (trust me, i send days wondering why a bike would not run correctly with that cap was missing!) |

Ahhhh...Thank you! I guess I will be capping it! I had a feeling that it would probably make a huge running issue as it is located on the throttle body. Thanks again! |
