Surprisingly I somehow managed to get top time of the meet at World of Speed even with the horrible conditions this year----Speedweek and World Finals were both cancelled completely-- Bubs and WOS ran but with significant changes and really wet conditions. I had a really scary first run in the slushy salt, thought I was coming off!!! After some changes to bike I went out for a sighting lap with the intent to not run the whole course. Bike settled down after about 180 and ran well so I turned out at the 4. When Greg and company came to fetch me he told me "dang, Jim you were accelerating the whole way, should have kept going!" Never got another run as conditions worsened. But turned out my "sighting lap" was good enough for fast bike of the meet. 228+ MPH.

Jeff, see the big weights on swingarm, Greg ran them on his bike with no drama--dry salt-- but with the wet salt bike was not happy at all-- and scared the crap out of me-- so the 228 was with these off. Though there is a lot of weight in arm and frame as well as a weight box low off the arm. |

We generally do the Bubs and WOS as they are closer together and the Aussies can get more racing into their time frame. |
