 I told my riding buddies that happened while I was cleaning the chain on my Buell with it on a stand and running in gear. It really is just a work related injury. Quite a few fell for it before one of my Buell riding buddies caught it. | ||

I had one similiar to that where I used to work. Actually did it the 2nd week out of training. The FNG screwed up I heard for a few weeks after, all in good fun though, and I deserved it. For me it was the left index and down to the bone. Wife thought it was great because you could see individual blood vessels and the bone. Have a nice scar and can see where the suture holes were, 21 years later. | ||

Yeah, I forgot to say what actually happened. It got crushed and then the skin got ripped off. Holding a ratchet and using the air gun at work. The gun swing the ratchet and got my finger caught between the ratchet and something. The ratchet, being a swivel head, pinched the skin/meat of the finger and pulled it off. That damn Snap-On ratchet bit me. I was using the gun to loosen a nut, so I had to hold the bolt from turning. Normally, I would use a wrench, but that wasnt working so well. I decided to try using the ratchet to hold the bolt head while trying to loosen the nut. I ended up just cutting the bolt. | ||

i get it that you said 'im cleaning the chain on my buell...' and buells dont come with chains - but people often put them on. So I dont see where the joke is to people that dont know you well and know that you have not switched to a chain etc. i have two buells - one has a chain. just saying. | ||

The people I said it to have known me for a few years. I also highly doubt that they are familiar with anyone doing any kind of conversion to put a chain on a Buell. | ||
