Do you need something special software or can you just reset the gauge cluster

They clear after 50 clean starts IIRC.

Barring that you'd need software. I don't think ECMSpy can do it on the 1125's (could be wrong though), so that leaves you with the dealer & their Digital Tech to clear it.

I havent had any trouble codes on my bike yet, but the ECM software can read and clear them from what it looks like, then again I havent used this feature yet.

Ecmspy will clear error codes. I cleared the two codes that were on my bike when I got it. It will also change the rear AFV, but no way to change the front, lol!

What about disconnecting the battery? Just curious, that works on my Grand National.

Ecmspy will clear error codes.

I did not know that. Thanks for the info.

What about disconnecting the battery?

Not sure how long you'd need to have it disconnected to "reset" the ECM. I'll have to give that a try.

My self personally, I don't pay attention to the historic codes as they get wiped out after 50 clean starts, which takes ~1 week for me of normal riding.

disconnecting the battery neither cleared error codes or reset the AFV, I tried this last year. after 50 ignition cycles I thought error codes went into the historic file in the IC? I do not have the Elec Diag Manual to hand and cannot check at the moment.
