I bought one of the CR's after the Buell implosion (also a 2006 Uly owner) and have been thinking of getting an R model. This was mostly due to another member here providing pics of his modified R with bags from Givi and transforming it into a psuedo ST. I currently use a Ducati ST4S for this duty, but I can't help but think the R with bags would do a better job (more power, better power at lower rpm). I have considered trading someone here for their R, but there appears to have been many more CR's that were sold, mine is an '09, and finding one that has not been to the track may be difficult. The 2010 we didn't get with the white color would have been an ideal unit to pick up. It is a pleasure to read everyone's posts about their pride and joy... we are Buell! | ||

What's wrong with one that has been to the track? Also, I am in the same boat with you. I wanted the R but bought the CR since it was the only one left in the showroom. Instead I am slowing buying the nessessary parts to convert to a 1125R with CR gearing. Should be the best of both worlds. Total cost will probably be $1000 -- digital guard dog keyless system This keeps me from having to buy a new key switch. I also get to keep my stock high rise handle bars since I don't have to use the 1125r triple tree. | ||

Hi there. Don't know how far you are from Daytona Beach, but Bruce Rossmeyer's HD/Buell was supposedly getting over 20 1125Rs within the last couple of weeks. I know people there and they told me that dealers that didn't want to sign the agreement (7 years Buell service/support) to sell the rest of their Buells were having them transferred to them. It was a deal they worked out with HD Corporate since they have a lot of pull. My friend there is Tony Angela (tangela@brucerossmeyer.com). Tell him Jeff from Lake Mary sent you. Last I heard they were asking $7,500 for 1125Rs and $6690 for CRs. Jeff | ||

We have one 2008 new 1125r left, went 700 miles and two states away to get three of them and 3 CR's. We have others, but they are track bikes and race Pikes Peak and are highly modified. I hear rumors of bikes being confirmed for dealers but we had deposits and names tied to our orders and got none of them. ~jammer | ||

I picked up a black cr about 2 weeks ago. I also wanted an r but couldn't find one so I am picking up another black cr on Monday. Ok, I gotta ask, how do you justify another one of the exact same? I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but I think my wife would have me put away. She was remarkably tolerant about the first CR - but if I tried to do it again, well... If I could find a white '10 R for the same price as my CR though - I might try really hard to rationalize it. | ||

I bought my 1125r from Rossmeyer's HD on Oct 31'st and there were only 2 1125r's there at the time. Both in red. I just had my 600mile service done and there was only 1 1125r in red and they had one race replica 1125r they wanted like 9500 for it though. | ||

well i told her i was going to try and get a black r or white r but they didnt have any/werent getting any and I wasnt sure I'd like the red. I also told her I am selling my harley which will pay off one of the buells... so essentially I will have 2 1125 cr's and still be saving 200 bucks on the motorcycle payment. sounds like a deal to me  | ||

I got mine at a dealer in the Dallas area. There was one cr left but there was a guy looking at it when I left so it's probably gone. They got 9 more this week and said that was all they were getting. | ||

Abernathy Harley in eastern TN still has two, a red and a black 2009. The guy I talked to there seemed like a straight shooter. Ozark Harley in MO has their demo '08 with full fairing still for sale. They wanted $8000 in October. Hopefully they remember the $5000 dealer rebate if you end up talking to them, they had no idea what I was talking about when I went in there 10/20. They have another store about 40 miles away that may have another one as well. You won't run into me at either of their stores.
