I am trying to find a Definitive answer on whether or not this can be done on the thunderstorm motors? I am keen on doing TPS Reset on my bike myself. Currently am Running a Remus powerizer with a Spec ops pipe and K&N which was great for about 4000k's. Now the bike is running bad is hesitant in points doesn't want to idle very well, power seems to be a bit surgey, was doing some reading and people with similar symptoms found a TPS reset sorted them. I switched the plugs out for some new DENSO ones the old ones were coked up pretty bad is a New bike with 6000Kms on it, Is running allot better with eh new plugs but still isnt right. Any suggestions would be great.

Cheers!

TPS reset is a do-it-yourself task with ECMSpy + cable + info.
Is that "what" you mean?
: )

TPS resets on 08+ bikes are done without a computer. Key on, kill switch on, go to full throttle, hold for one second. go back to idle, hold for one second. Repeat the full throttle/idle movement three times. The TPS will be reset.

Well I pulled the powerizer out and swapped the K&N filter for a Buell race filter. Weird thing is now the bike is running great, I also did the reset thing Al. Originally before I put the powerizer in the throttle response was poor and it was coughing and spluttering so it needed something. Now on the stock ECM the bike is running great? Go figure....

Yep, most of those piggyback units are junk. They work great at first, but then the ECM starts to make changes, then the aftermarket unit starts to counter them, and they end up fighting each other. Eventually you get to the point the bike will barley run, because the bike can't do what it wants.

There are people that are stupid enough to buy an empty cardboard box from a PS3, I am sure you can get someone to buy that : )
