Anybody running the new Q2? BT-016's were great but the turn in was no different then a worn sport touring tire even when brand new, and the front is running slicks on the edges after a weekend at the track and 2,000 street miles. Q2 is being used in Jason Pridmores (sp?) race school after he tested them. He was running Dunlop GPA DOT race tires before. Supposed to be more aggressive profile but still stable (quicker turn in) dual compound rear, single front (better grip under braking then 16's and the edge wont heat up as much on the track) and just in general they are supposed to be one hell of a tire. I know the Pirelli's and the 16's with the rounder profiles are favored by a lot of you guys but I think given the Ss's 2" longer wheelbase, making it essentially the same as the Japanese super sports, the more aggressive profile tire's might be the ticket. I am stoked to try one out, just wondering what you guys have heard/experienced with these tires and Buells. |
