I think a regulator off a sportster ('94-'03) will work as long as its a 22 amp. Am I right or wrong? I'm thinking '04 and later is something like a 30amp or so. Not sure if that would work for me. Anyone know if the 2 are interchangeable?   Gowindward Posted on Friday, November 27, 2009 - 09:17 pm:        No they would not be interchangeable. The higher output systems are 3 phase. Stick with the older 22 amp single phase VR for your system.
