22 amps times 13 volts is 286 watts... which sounds low to me, but probably in the ballpark. |

You do not need to get SCIENTIFIC on these SPEC's. ... If you want a HIGHER OUT PUT SYS., a XB12X rotor/stater/alt. is supposed to retro fit |

All I'm doing is looking for a Chrome regulator for my '99 X1. I think a regulator off a sportster ('94-'03) will work as long as its a 22 amp. Am I right or wrong? I'm thinking '04 and later is something like a 30amp or so. Not sure if that would work for me. Anyone know if the 2 are interchangeable? |

No they would not be interchangeable. The higher output systems are 3 phase. Stick with the older 22 amp single phase VR for your system. |
