Since so many folks are asking questions about starting-out on suspension settings and are a bit uncertain about it (going by the book) - the vid shows clearly just WHAT is being measured and set and what is meant by "sag." Again, the manual is a decent starting point but if you REALLY want to get much closer, follow Dave's thoughts - and measure sag directly. It'll tell you a LOT. I wanted to get my sag set to 35mm/30mm front/rear, when I took it to my suspension guy he was surprised how close the factory recmonded settings(I set it myself) were: 33mm/30mm. If anything, the factory settings will at least give you a good baseline to start with |

I'd get this somewhere in the KNOWLEDGE VAULT where we can access it. Many folks don't fully appreciate the impact proper suspension set-up has on a Buell. |
