I initiated diagnostics on my '09 cr and stepped through the screens. I expected to see a screen showing the firmware version but the closet thing I came across was a screen with "SW 6.1 CAL 1.0". SW = software? Is this the firmware version? Where's the 162? In my recent service, CTXHD updated the firmware. I want to confirm the version. How do I do this? It sure would be handy if I had a .pdf of the service manual for my red, red, red '09 cr. Hint, hint. |

Thanks Froggy. How do I determine the flash firmware version? 162 is current for the cr, no? |

you need a program like ecmspy or the new oh.io.sport.bike.com to pull the firm wear version. or the dealer can do it. |

Now I too know what that 6.1 / 1.0 thing means. I knew it wasn't flash related, but did wonder if it would still somehow change when I upgraded from 131 to 142 (R version). Now I see what it didn't ... I always learn new things here. Good group of folks! Mike |

The new CR flash is 152 and you can fetch the eeprom with ecmspy. All you need is a cable. |
