Apparently you also need to have a working front end...took mine out for the first real ride today...didn't last long...something else in the front end is banging around...either the forks for the triple tree...back to the basement for tear down. |

Surely an Engineer can diagnose the problem within a few minutes on something "Banging Around".... |

Engineers are good at over designing and analysis paralysis...not looking with both eyes open...
Besides...I can't be on the bike compressing the front end AND in front of it to see what's hitting at the same time...
so...once I get a second set of eyes...I should be able to figure it out... |

I think you should just do what is needed to your bike. It is obvious. We know you don't crash so well, and you don't ride much, so maybe you like the cage a bit more for safety reasons....Understandable with all the old people out on the roads...
So maybe you just needs a little extra on your bike.Protection on your bike
