Just to verify what everyone is saying; 2008 Definitely DOES have a new flash! '08 1125R flash is confirmed by my dealer as M3HUS062. I rode by my dealer tonight; they said there is no service bulletin for it yet, just had to hook up the bike to the digital tech and the new flash showed up. Unfortunately, my dealer left the ignition switch on too long while updating it. With my already weak battery... it left them with a big "Theft Error" code and the bike wouldn't do a damn thing. They are going to try charging the battery overnight, see if it starts tomorrow. If that doesn't work, they'll throw a new battery and go from there. I won't get to try out the new flash till tomorrow afternoon (crossing my fingers that they finish everything tomorrow). I'll let you all know how it goes 24hrs from now. I had the same fears Froggy. I know this thread is about the '08 ECM flash, but here are a few tips should you tackle the decals this weekend: 1. Take the pods off the bike and do the decals in the house at room temperature. 2. Lay the pod right in front of your monitor...on a towel...with the Buell.com website up and the zoomed in image of the pod of YOUR bike color (click on "Colors & 360") up on your screen. 3. Use "enough" Rapid Tac (or soapy water solution) to allow for repositioning, but not so much that you're working the squeegee forever to get out air bubbles and moisture. 4. Saturate the top paper too before pulling it off. When watching various You Tube videos on how to apply this type of decal, remember that most of them show decals being applied on nice smooth, straight surfaces. Putting them on these pods is like putting them on a bowling ball; the damn things curve in every direction. If you decide to be really bold and go the "dry" route...remember, you've got only one shot to get 'em in place. That's my $.02 |

LOL - back on the 08 flash topic. If it weren't going to snow tomorrow, I'd head down to the dealer for mine but... |

A little snow never stopped me, in fact it was snowing the day I bought my Uly and rode it home. As for the decal, I am gonna botch it no matter what I do, so when funds permit, I will just buy premade scoops. |

SNOW!!?? Damn...now I won't whine in these 55 degree Wisconsin November temps tomorrow... Sorry for getting off topic Avc. I was just so damn happy after getting the new flash today that I was trying to channel that joy into Froggy to get him to paste those decals on. Now I think I scared him into spending more $$$ ! You didn't scare me, I knew I was gonna botch it before going in. I have always been sticker retarded, I even look at my old power ranger toys and the decals on them are cockeyed. I did up my XB, and it looks great as long as you are more than 20 feet away What was this thread about again???
