Ok, have the bike at idle, in gear with the clutch all the way in to the bar, like you're about to leave from a light. Don't touch the throttle, and start to release the clutch. Just before it begins to engage, the engine speed starts to go up! What's up with that? Is it an artifact of the vacuum clutch, or Buell trying to prevent take-off stalls?? KeS |

The FI is programmed to "keep the bike running". Load goes up, it raises "idle" and keeps running. ac |

weird feature... you really notice it when you put a louder exhaust on! the good news is the o.s.b.com tune gets rid of it! |

It's not the ECM "trying to keep the bike running". They all do it, and it happens before there's any load put on the engine. It's a feature, more or less. Go into diagnostics and there's a clutch state parameter that shows when this little rev up happens. At first I thought it was neat but useless, but the more I live with the bike the more I like it when having to maneuver around my driveway, or creep up at a light. |

It is a feature they built into the ECM. IMHO I like it. Especially coming from a high inertia engine like the XB, to a low inertia engine like the Helicon. It gets back to the old blonds vs. red head argument ;+} |
