I have an 09 1125 CR, I think... It has a build date of 12/08. But, it has a black caliper. |

Its a model year 2009 built in 12/08. Like cars ... new model year vehicles come out in September time frame. Somebody swapped your red caliper for a black one before you bought it ... |

Yep mine has a sep 08 build date and its an 09. Also a side note there are NO 08 CR's they were only R's. So hold on to that 09 CR only year ever made and sold in the states, (maybe) |

I think your bike may have begun as a Black CR rather than a Red CR. Lots easier to swap plastics than calipers. |

All CR's have Red Calipers ... no matter what the plastic color ... |

>>> Some black CRs came with black calipers. I don't think this is the case - every CR I've ever seen from teh factory has a red caliper...} |

cr's were only model year 09' and up, regardless of the caliper color (or accents). The VIN will detail both the model and year. Check the OM to decode the VIN. |

I would swear I've seen black calipers on CRs, but I could be mistaken. |

Mine has a black. Maybe it came from a R? Either way, I like it. |

Yep bet someone with an R wanted the red caliper and the dealer swapped it. (Message edited by AverageJoe on November 12, 2009) |
