Does anyone have info on converting an XP to street legal? Is there any lights to fit the front running lights? What about the hand guards? |

To convert to street legal it's simply a matter of removing the police lights/siren. That's it. A bunch of people on here own XP's. I'm not sure what you mean by front running lights (headlight is the same). The civilian XP comes with no hand guards. You can buy them separate for something like $50 I believe. |

I own an XP and my dealer, and most others that I know of just remove all the lights, siren, switches, etc. I ordered handguards for 28.00. I have read on another forum where the buyer had the dealer replace the blue lights with regular driving lights, but it also cost him a pretty penny. |

I own an XP that I am actually selling. It came with reflectors in place of all the lights except the front lights, they were just removed. Handguards were still intact with reflectors. Frame tabs where the siren was. |

The one we sold, we decommissioned by: Removing all lightheads, with their brackets and bezels Removed wiring harness for lights/siren Removed underseat 'brain' for lights/siren Removed RH green button for lights Reconnected factory horn Swapped police handguards (with lights and holes) for standard XT handguards Removed siren speaker and its mounting hoop The front lights and their bracket would make it INCREDIBLY difficult to mount aux lights. The mounting system is totally different than just about any aux light I've ever seen...you'd be better off getting a bracket from one of our vendors here, or doing something like I did - I put CR mirrors on my 06 X (with the turn signals in them), and mounted aux lights to the holes vacated by the turn signals. |

Mine came exactly as Ratbuell listed. XP is a great, unique bike. Loving mine! |
