Any recommendations on tires? I have no complaints with my corsa's, but I was going to give the pilot powers a shot. Heard good things about them. I do a lot of long high runs and love hitting the turns hard. Any ideas for tire selection?

Pilot Powers are great. I ran them on my GSXR1000. But, the rear didn't last very long.

When the Corsas wear out on my CR, I will run this combo:

Pilot Power Front
Pilot Road 2 rear (higher mileage)

The OEM tire on this bike really is a good choice, IMHO. I run them in the high twisties and on the track, and I'm quite pleased.

For a little better mileage in the twisties, I will run the regular Diablo, even though it doesn't offer the same confidence of the Corsa III.

You saw the bt-021 post I made in your other thread. I like those a lot.

Yea I love the corsa III's. I feel "why change it if it works. " Great handling and mileage, but you'll never find something better if you stick with wat you got.

I've run the Power 2CT's and the Corsa III's on the track many, many times.

I will never buy another set of Pilot Power 2CT's. The turn in is slower than the Corsas and they don't give you any warning before they let go. I damn near high sided my 600 running the Michelins.

The Pilot One is supposed to be a MUCH better tire than the Powers, but it's probably too soft for street use.

The Pilots or the Corsas are both fine for street use. Probably overkill.

My budy runs the power 1 on his 08 busa on the track and street he has around 2000 miles on it and 150 burnouts at least and looks to be over half there still

If mileage is a concern I am sure there are other tires out there but I like the Corsa 3. They may not last long but man do they stick and ride well. My next pair will be the 3's.

Pirelli Diablo supercorsa compound SC1 front and SC2 rear, awesome in the dry, haven't ridden in the wet yet (and don't intend to - thats what the HD is for)

Stick with the Pirelli Diablo Corsa III tires. That's what I ended up putting on my XB12Ss over a year ago and the improvement over the Dunlops was really significant. When I saw that the 1125R/CR were coming with them stock, I figured that was one less thing I'd have to look into changing.

Another vote for the Pilot Power.
Had them on several bikes. Like them on each bike.

I liked the Corsa IIIs, running Pilot Power 2CTs now. I'm happy with either choice. I haven't experience the issues Chad is describing. I lowsided on the Powers when the front washed out on, but I was on the street and went wide and I'm pretty sure I hit some gravel.

When my tires go I have quite a few sets of Dunlop 211 race tires I can throw on : )
Will a 200 fit on the 1125CR rear? That is what I use on my 07'GSXR 1000 race bike.
