Hey Guys, Had an accident, snapped my collarbone but the bikes OK (damn these things are tough). Will need to start replacing a number of items such as: -Left & right pods - Gearbox cover -Front fairing. Anyone got some links where I can get these?I'm in Australia so they'll have to ship overseas. Also, has anyone successfully resprayed their frame? Thanks. |

Crashed my XB12Ss at 65mph. My collarbone snapped, too. Hurts a lot at first, I know. It will heal. Hope that you recover quickly and completely and that the bike is as good as new when you next ride it. |

what exactly happened? Did someone hit you or did you hit something? I came off on a Phillip Island trackday. Getting a little too excited. When I passed a CBRR1000 on the straight I guess I just got a little too cocky with my limits vs the bike. Ran Honda Hairpin straight, hit the grass and went shoulder & knee first into the ground at about 80 kph. Thanks for the well wishes guys, and for not flaming me for posting in the wrong spot. Yes broken clavicals are painful, but painkillers are a Godsend! (Message edited by mr_christopher on November 08, 2009) |

hey mr christopher .. you might actually be able to get them in australia ... the parts you broke are common for drops so HD Aus might actually have them .. but then theres the stupid cost the dealers charge opposed to getting from the US .. Hope you heal well .. Let me know when your riding again as Im from melb too mate .. and theres a bit of a buell riders group down here ..would be good to catch ya .. Cheers Brett |

Hey Brett, Thanks for the advice. But I called Harley Heaven want $100 per pod, $225 for the front and $540 for the clutch cover!!! I'll see how much it is to import myself... (Message edited by Mr_Christopher on November 08, 2009) |

Ouch!!! Conversion rate's not that bad... Not sure why your local guys want so much. I can beat that, but I don't want to be part of their demise. I think it's VERY important you keep LOCAL support if at all possible. PM me Zack |

yeah thats the problem being out here Zac our parts prices are through the roof .. theres conversion rates .. and I think this is fixed and does not reflect the current exchange .. + the margins the dealers work on redefines the meaning of Stealers .. For all my bits i have ordered from the US and even shipping large items its well under buying locally .. Supporting the dealers here doesnt mean much anymore given they rip us off and also hardly stocked parts so most stuff would be on order from HD Au or needing to be shipped from the US .. .. and even worse now that buell is no longer ...

Well let me know, I'm more than happy to ship to Oz. What I don't have, I'll order. A lot of things are on backorder now due to the sudden growth in 1125 owners worldwide. Parts availability should stabilize in a few months. Z |

Its the helmet that usually breaks the clavicle. In this case it was my shoulder digging into the earth at about 80kph}. I remember the pain clearly |
