So I looked up the recalls for my 2003 Firebolt XB9R, and it was supposed to have the front and rear wheel bearings (black ones) swapped out for the newer (orange ones). But when I looked at my bike, I noticed that the front ones are orange, but the rears are still black. Why would this be??? Should I go to the dealer with this and get them to swap the rear one out? |

Take a close look at the letters on the seals, the most current bearings are black. |

The original 2003 bearings were made by a company called FAG (giggles ), I don't know if it actually says it on the seal or not. The orange seal bearings to replace them are made by NTN, and it does say it on the seal if you look closely. The current black seal bearings are made by KBC. If your bike has either the KBC or NTN bearings, you have nothing to worry about. Some more info here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/442488.html?1251983886 |

Thanks for the info! I'll check that out and hopefully I don't have a FAG. |
