You'll have to forgive my new Uly owner lack of experience as I'm just coming up on the 1000 mile mark, but this weekend during some two up riding, I noticed when under harder acceleration I would get a strumming vibration under the seat and in the bike in general. This morning on my way to work I noticed that same vibe (turned rear susp back down) when under hard acceleration as well. I don't recall it being there before, but it could also be that I'm just riding it harder than I was, or the engine/etc is starting to break/settle in as I approach 1k. Thoughts? Or am I just being a paranoid new owner. |

Hrm, search is my friend. Found a few threads about a bad front isolator, sounds exactly like what I'm experiencing. I went and looked out at mine real quick in the parking lot, and I can see in the webbing part there isn't a tear, but clearly some sort of pull or run, definitely an stretched or now imperfect spot. Is it possible that would happen prior to 1k mi? http://badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142838/ 499435.html?1254408029 |

Mine had a bad one when I bought it with less than 10 miles on it. Dealer swapped it out in about 15 minutes and I was on my way. No problems since. |

Don't know if this is related or not, but how much preload is dialed into the rear shock? When I feel a vibration or strumming, so to speak, it's when the rear suspension is compressed and I'm 2-up and the motor is pulling, because I forgot to dial in more preload. I always thought it was the belt teeth I was feeling. Don't know if that's what you're feeling or not. |

One other thing to check is the rear cylinder rocker cover hitting, I think, on the seat. Remove the seat and look at the rocker cover on the lower corner and see if it shows signs of hitting on something. I'm going on memory here, (failing by the day), but there have been some that have reported this vibration IIRC. |

when i ride 2 up i dial up the rear spring alot, even then i feel the "vibe" when we hit a good dip in the road. i think the rear suspension gets loaded and the belt either gets bowstrung or loose and i can feel the teeth in it. its done it from day one and i now call it normal lol. ive never felt it solo tho. if yer isolater is bad the mount will drop down toward the big bolthead, marks in the rubber are normal.
