I have an 2000 Cyclone and I am starting to get some chatter coming from the right side of the engine. Sounds like it is coming from the cam case area. It is hard to tell because I can only hear it while the bike is in motion. If the bike is not in gear or at a stop no noise as soon as I start riding lots of chatter. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks! |

Maybe adjust the primary chain. Of course that is the other side of the motor. |

I would remove the oil pump and look at your pinon gear, they had some failures back in the day. |

How loose is your drive belt? You should also check your front drive pulley. It may have come loose and is now slipping on the worn splines. I've seen it before... not pretty. Brad |

Thanks everyone. I will start checking the things that you have mentioned this weekend. I bought the bike about three months ago so I'm not exactly sure if the oil pump gear has been changed. Was this a factory recall or just maintenance that needs to be done regularly? |
