Here's a great article comparing the M2 Cyclone to the Sportster XL1200S. I bought an M2L off Badweb sight unseen in 04 after reading this article. I loved that bike. I owned Ducati, Suzuki, Kawasaki prior to the Cyclone, it was my overall fave. Just bought an 1125CR. http://www.american-v.co.uk/roadtests/head2head/m2 _v_xl1200s/body.html |

The only SPORTSTER that you could even begin to compare to the BUELL M2 is the XL1200R ... The XL1200R("i" refer to it as the SPORTSTER BUELL) only lacks in handling, "BUT" in a straight line it has more engine than the BUELL M2 !!! |

What model year is the XL1200R? Is that the one with twin plugs? |

XL1200R is a new model (came out last year). The 1200S or Sport has the dual plugs in each head |
