Ccryder, thanks for this thread. I wish there was an after market solution that provided me with saddle bags like yours out of the box. I really do not have the skill or time to fab something up but if I could my Uly would be history. I will never forget watching the factory engineers crawling all over your bike looking at the bags at Homecoming. Frank |

Yep the Engineers and Erik seem very interested. If you can do it, I would not let the bracket kit hold up your purchase of an 1125. I keep hearing murmers of someone going to copy my brackets. With the aggressive pricing on 1125's, now would be the time to pick one up and we may be able to find someone to fabricate a few sets of brackets ;+}, ;+} |

CCryder, I certainly am not going to buy another one since I have one in the garage!! The more I ride it (not much due to a blizzard) the more the Uly and the other bikes sit. I have some ideas for it, some you have already done, paving the way for me! Send me a pm. |

If any of our sponsors wanted to arrange a group buy of your racks, CC, I'd be happy to get in line. Of course, it would have to be removeable for trackdays! |

Andy: I appreciate your offer but........ it ain't that simple. Neil S. Oh yeah, the bags themselves can be removed in under 30s. The brackets may take a few mins. |

So here's an idea I was talking about with a customer yesterday. He has an XB12Ss, and we were looking at my CR with the passenger pegs removed. Him: "I leave mine on so they hit the ground before anything else" (and it looks...possible). Me: "well....." Started me thinking. How about someone make a crash bobbin that bolts to the passenger peg mounts - it would work on XB and Loki - that mounts a standard crash bobbin as a "frame slider" of sorts? It's high mounted...but could save swingarm damage. |

I thought DHM made some that attached to the passenger pegs, but can't find them on their site. |
