Where my I find replacement OEM clutch and brake levers online? Both mine are damanged I talked with my local HD dealer. After 20 min of a kid saying he could find no part listing for anything Buell and having to have a guy from the service DP to come and find it, then 10 more min of Buell bashing from the kid I would rather eat the money and machine my own then buy them from HD. Any help on this would be great thanks very much in advance. Oh and off topic I look forward to what I hope will be an HD bankruptcy and a employee buy out of Buell. It is my dream I will make it as big as I want. Thanks again. |

Robert, your levers are Harley parts 1982-1995.They are available through HD or the aftermarket,Drag or Custom Chrome. Dennis Kirk has them on line,if you look down the page you will see the oem part numbers. http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=H570103&store=Main&catId=&productId=pH570103&leafCatId=&mmyId= (Message edited by buellish on October 26, 2009) |

Robert,I know you said you don't want to fool with Harley, but you can get the oem levers in aluminium,if you don't want chrome. |

Word to the wise: Get the FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL and PARTS BOOK for your YEAR and MODEL !!! When you go into a HARLEY-DAVIDSON Dealer have the PAT NUMBER for what you want ... NEVER SAY BUELL, AS THESE PARTS PERSON TECHNICIANS FLIP OUT INTO BRAN DEAD MODE !!! "HARLEY-DAVIDSON Dealers making MECHANICS and PARTS MEN OUT OF BUELL RIDERS SINCE THURSDAY 15 OCTOBER 2009 !!!" |

Or, you can call one of the sponsors like HCHD and talk to a Bueller in parts to get what you need. At least that is what I do. Plus it is always best to have the parts book with the part number. Most of the numbers are correct. |

You can usually find these at swap meets for a buck or 2 apiece. They are common 'take off' items to be replaced with the required chromed units. (you'd better not be caught on your SlowBoy with the stock ones on it! Gawd - the social ostracizing would follow you to your grave!) I might have some laying around in the orig. aluminum. I'll check later when I have a minute. You wouldn't happen to have a photo of the ones you have with attention to the mounting ends, would you? Al |

Leftcoastal Sir I would be happy to send you pictures of them or should I say what is left. I am not sure how to post them on here or I can e mail them to you. I would be happy to paypal you for them if you would like. I would much rather give my money to a fellow Bueller then HD. The bike was dropped in my bother in laws driveway once on each side in the space of a week braking the ends off them. The 1st. drop was due to the bike moving on the side stand as it was being warmed up. The 2nd time a guy backed into it with a truck pushing it over. It was a Bad week but the only real damage was the levers. Buellistic Sir I found out the hard way you are right on the money. I was NEVER a HD fan. In fact I am more then a bit of a HD hater. Not so much the bikes (but I can't stand them) but the Riders. Most (not all) are want to be Billy Bad*sses with a the DVD of eazyrider in their DVD players 24/7 thinking they are that cool. If you dont ride a fatboy with a born to lose tattoo you are a communist, homosexual, liberal quiche eater that has no right to be on their road. I mean no disrespect if anyone likes quiche. It is just how I have been treated over 15 years of riding. I spent a summer riding a restored 1965 triumph 650 and I was treated like I had sifilis running off my face onto the floor. Why did HD come out with the Sporter again? Oh yah it was a copy of the triumpe. So I am a bit bitter. That is why all my friends were so shocked when I bought a Buell. Sorry got off topic but I feel better inside now. Thanks for the great info and please let me know Buellistic what you come up with. No stress at all. Thanks. |

I got a chance to see what I had last nite, and the levers were for later (96 and up) so they won't fit your controls. There's another box somewhere that I'll have to find that might have more in it. Have you looked on ebay? Al |
