Right now I'm not getting into the area til 6, makes for a dark ride on unfamiliar roads. It is also currently all in my head, I'm gonna have to do some experimental runs and see what comes together, possibly on the weekends. | ||

Yup. I think the BadWeb site crashed for awhile. There's been an outpouring. It's very strange...companies go under all the time. Restaurants close. Product lines for consumer items are discontinued every day. My wife was complaining that her favorite deodorant isn't made anymore. But this feels so different...like having a friend involved in a freak accident that's so sudden you're in shock. It feels really personal. I'm hopeful...it's an amazing brand with incredible products, and those things have a way of staying alive. My 15,000 mile service is coming up. I'm going to see what they can do - replace everything that could go wrong, like the bearings and the belt (and I'll keep the spare). Not gettin' rid of mine, but then again, I never planned to. | ||

Looks like I'll be headed to ET for the 26th visit (there's a thread in quick board about it). I'm either riding (if solo) or driving (if Kim can get off work, but it's not looking likely). If I ride, I'll probably be sidestand up, 7am this Saturday - that leaves room for a 2 day run out but I'll probably slab it in one. Return will be Tues. If folks want to go, I can meet at HDF on Sat AM. Otherwise...I'll just head out from home on the ol' Uly. It did 2k in 5 days earlier this month for Buelltoberfest with no probs, and now that it has its 10k, 2 tires and '07 fork springs...it's a new bike. Time for more miles, just wish there was a better reason. | ||

That's awesome, Rat. Wish I could go. A lot has been said about the Elves, but what happens to you when all the Buells are sold from Frederick HD/B? Are you boning up on your Harley specs, or have you always sold both lines? | ||

I've always done both. Preferred to sell Buells....like the people a LOT more....but unless they decide to toss me out with the Buell signage, I'll just sell chrome for a while I guess. |
