I did not think the harbor freight rear stand was wide enuf for the 1125. You got it to work? Which stand? |

I went with the T-Rex stands... they are well built and work great! Plus they aren't near as pricey as the Pit Bulls... |

GEforce, did you have to modify the rear stand to accomodate the width of the swingarm? I bent mine out about 1/2 inch each side. T-Rex work adequately. I find the angle of the swingarm has the bike sliding on rear stand. It's not really in jeopardy of falling, but it makes you want to get the tires on asap. |

I was told by a service tech at my local dealer that the Uly's exhaust has two jack points - can anyone tell me if you can do the same with the 1125? I have a HF lift and usually use a scissor jack under the bike. Thanks! |

The Pit Bulls MADE for the 1125 actually lift under and retain behind the swingarm so sliding is nearly impossible. The later swingarms will take standard spools - best of ALL worlds. Pic from American Sport Bike:

Barker, you forgot to insert the obligatory "Your doing it wrong" Anyway, the Pit bull's I bought for my Uly are the same ones for the 1125, and they work great. |

Slightly stretched standard Pitbull stand.

At least it slides back onto the stand, instead of forward on off the stand. I gotta figure out a way to get it more stable as my 2008 forks are going out for service as soon as my new 2009 gets here. Maybe chock the rear tire and the wheels on the stand? |

Good question. I have a cheap Handy stand I stretched a bit, but my Pit Bull was WAY too stout. Wouldn't budge. |

I have a 09 25R and a 06 uly. I like the pit bull stand. Here is my question, Al says the pit will work with a 1125R and a Uly. But pit bull had to make a new stand for 2009. Will it still work w/ the uly? Cuz pit's web site has no mention of uly on either models. I cant run spools on the uly (and drop the wheel) and its to steep and too wide for most stands. http://www.pit-bull.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Scr een=CTGY&Store_Code=PBMSA&Category_Code=rear_stand s Anybody have the 09 1125 pit bull and a uly? |

Barker and Chad, 3 ton floor jack. Couple of cranks on the pump handle, 1" stretch, roughly. |

Barker, The pit bull stand that fits both the Uly and the 1125R is the one made for the 2008 1125R. The 08's didn't have spools on them, the 09's and later do. The Uly doesn't have spools either, so it works on both. Basically the one that works just cradles the bottom of the swing arm (it has 3 pegs to lift and prevent it from sliding back). The one made for the 2009 1125R is basically a widened "spool" stand. |

Yes Matt ;+} You still might want to check with the T-Rex people, since their stands are pretty darn good at 1/2 the $'s of the "Big Dog". At least that way, well you know. |

Barker - yes it works on the 09, you just don't use the spools on the swing arm. |

For those of you wondering, here's a 3 ton floor jack to spread the stand.

So, you're telling me my standard Pit Bull spooled stand will have to be tweaked to fit the 1125? Damn. |

Zracer196, I have Dark Horse Moto Spools/Sliders on the rear axle. Just tell me that and they can ship you a sweet set. keith's spools work just like any other. Can't change a tire with them , put I plan on using something else to get at that. If you want a front stand too, get the front triple tree adapter with the front stand. Gives you the ability to select the height and works great! |

Be careful with the stock spools on the 2009 and the PitBull stand. The spools aren't spaced out wide enough, and we succeeded in scratching the swingarm while setting the suspension up. KeS |

I still have the cheap stand I bought for my Firebolt 4 years ago for $100. For normal lifting, I use the axle with a rod thru it. Tire-change time I use the tubes under the swingarm. It was too short, so I put some wheels from a lawn-mower in place of the little skateboard wheels it came with. Works fine so far.
