Again, that's what I've heard, so I'm not sure if it's true or not. All that I know is that it is a lot harder due to the tranny not having a trap door. If you are looking for the overdrive it would be cheaper and easier to convert to chain drive and use a taller final drive ratio. for a close ratio tranny though you're pretty much stuck with splitting the cases. If anyone has an aftermarket tranny it would be Jim's or Baker. Another option for that would be the XB12 primary gearing. Probably easier and maybe cheaper, about $200 for parts, or possibly get the parts from a Uly rider who has put the XB9 primary in.
