I have not used the bulb, but I do not think they will produce any more light than a standard high grade 55 watt halogen. I have tried many after market bulbs and most performed worse than a standard high grade halogen. Any bulb that I tried that had a colored glass alway produced less light. I could be wrong regarding this bulb but I bet not. I believe that the designer bulbs are mostly marketing to push minimal performance gains for high dollars. Save your money and upgrade to an HID system for real performance. The HID system are inexpensive and not to difficult to install. |

The Sylvania Silver Stars are excellent and can be had quite cheaply on eBay or Amazon.com. The only problem is the longevity of the bulb as you will be replacing them more frequently than a traditional halogen. |

The Sylvania Silverstar Ultra's last much longer than the standard Silverstars. |

But how's about this accent of orange on the reflector? I thought that was a clever idea since the light projected is still white. |
