Hey all, New guy here, been looking at Buell's for a couple of months, so was shocked like everyone when I heard the news last week. For personal reasons I was going to put the purchase off until next fall, but... I've only had a chance to ride a Uly and thought it fit pretty well. 6'2", 34" inseam... how's the fit for other tall guys on the 1125? I'm not sure what's going to be left at my local dealer in San Diego - I'm out of town for a couple of weeks - but I'd like to know if the 1125 is even a player for someone my size. Thanks in advance. |

I am only 5'10, but can ride 4 hours non stop on my 1125R. The CR may be a better fit for you though, I think the handle bars are higher and the pegs are lower, however there is less wind protection on the CR. |

Yep. Chad Hargis has the Uly pegs and Firebolt touring seat and says it's 85-90% of the Uly's comfort. He has a CR, but the riding position (minus the bars) is the same. |

Sounds like there are ways to get around almost anything. I probably should have asked for "tall guys 45 and over." You young guys can fit on anything... Thanks for the quick responses. By the way, the service guys told me the XB muffler can be used as a jack point at a couple of locations - can you do that with the 1125? I have a platform lift in the garage and generally put a scissor jack under my bikes (with a tire in the forward wheel vise) to change tires, mess with suspension, etc. Be great if I could do the same with this bike. |

48 years old, 6'2" Just got an 1125CR and I am fairly comfortable -- even with the cafe bars and stock pegs. I have the higher bars on order but have not decided whether to change out the pegs yet. May do it, but the fact that I'm not sure is a sign that the bike is pretty good already. P.S. $4995 for an '09 1125CR! Sorry, still feeling really psyched about getting that deal! |

Fmaxwell, You're my kind of guy. My local dealer has a CR for $7995 - I'm not so sure we are getting the same deals in SoCal, but then again - that's a lot of bike for $8K - a month ago that would have been an unbelievable deal. We'll see what happens. |

Look at doing the Uly footpegs. A straight bolt on, and it drops them about 3\4 or 1 inch. Rob |

I'm short but a lot of my boys are 6'+ and have no issues with my 08 11R. All in fact have said the Buell 11 is far more roomy than any Big4Rockets they are still stuck with! LOL! Lower pegs and different handlebars are in archives if needed. Small mods to pay for the huge payoff on all other positives surrounding this bike. |

6'3"+ and over 50 Have done several 200 mile hyper speed limit jaunts on my stock 1125R. Felt better than when I get off my HD Ultra. Maybe is is just the SEG on my face! |

6'4", 34" inseam, 37 years old and half titanium from the waist down. I've done all day track days on the 1125R and loved it. I'm about to find out how I like daily riding on the CR.... |

6'2" and can ride it all day even with stock pegs. Its most comfortable bike ive ridden in stock form. Added the uly pegs so i can move around a little more on 500 mile rides Will add convertibars over the winter so i can sit up more when commuting. |

What are the part #s for the Uly pegs needed? Is it the whole bracket and pegs? I will have my dealer change them before I pick it up. Photos? Mike Long Island, NY 09 XB12X Red/Black 091125CR Black 06 VRSCR Blue/Silver (Message edited by rkc00 on October 20, 2009) |

I'm 6'5" and with the Uly pegs and touring seat, it's pretty dang comfy. I've not hit my riding threshold on it yet, but the longest ride I've done was maybe 300 miles. |

6'2" 34 inseam My 2009 1125R fits like a glove. I did a 160 mile ride with my wife this past weekend. She was on a 1994 Yamaha FZR 600 that I rode before buying the 1125R. It was a mix of highway and back roads. No problems as far as the bike size, no problems getting into full tuck, and no cramping. |

Not as tall, but I'm 5'11" with a 33" inseam. Tour seat and Uly pegs, I did 930 miles in 24 hours on the way home from Homecoming last year. Have also done a 700, a couple of 600 and a bunch of 400 mile days. I'll be 55 next month if this flu doesn't kill me. Z |

I'm 6'8" with 36" inseam (long torso!). Have the bike stock right now - uly pegs next, then possibly touring seat. Besides the ear to ear SEG, loving it so far. Better than most for someone my size, which is saying something! just breaking it in, so not a whole lot of saddle time yet. LOVING IT!!! |

I put the 1-inch drop pegs, touring seat, and fitted tomasselli adjustable bars, did a 560 mile day no problems. |

i'm 6'1" with a 34 inch inseam and it feels so much more comfy than my XB9S/R. i thought i was gonna have to throw on some XB_S pegs, and bump it up with the select seat, but it is sooooo comfy. i guess the faring makes a big differnce 09 1125R -i paid enuff for it- |

6" 4', 230 lbs, 57 years old. I've ridden my '08 1125R 250 miles in and around the twisties without any problems. It's the long straight stretches that are a pain. |
