Do ya'll know any shops or people out here that could help clean up my cheesegrater chop? It's a little rough around the edges and I'd like to give it a more professional look. Plus I need to notch the bottom for the license plate light. Thanks! |

I was there until 6:45 Wayne. Bart September is out for me, no time off as Teri was in the hospital from Monday night until Thursday afternoon. She is all fixed up now, but I was at the hospital and it ate all my vacation time until about Oct/Nov |

Calimari, There was a shop over in Chandler called Hellcat customs, that, "I think" does work on Buells. I know that one of the guys that works there, and rides an XB9 showed up once for one of the group rides. Not sure if the shop is still around, but it's worth a shot. If not, try Chandler custom cycles, they work on anything, and if all you need is some cleaning up done, they can probably do it. They are south of the Elliot/AZ ave. intersection in Chandler, on the east side of AZ ave... Wycked, See ya in the morning... |

Wycked and I rode up to Prescott yesterday for Brunch. He was on his Ducati, and I was on the POS. The temps were nice as we headed out of town, very little traffic, and NO cops.
That sure is one sweeeeet looking bike, Mikel! We had breakfast at a cafe across from the plaza, and then headed back. A quick stop at the overlook at Yarnell,
and we were back in town before the serious heat hit... |

hey guys, I am looking to paint my muffler, does anyone know of a quality place that deals with high temp paint. Has anyone had any paint work done that they would recommend someone? Thanks, Alex Oh and about the shop that Bartimus referenced, Hellcat Customs, The guy that runs that place is named Jason, good guy... never picks up his phone and doesnt seem to call people back. I had him do some work for me and he is straight with you on price and warranty. recommend him, if you can find him. His place is getting torn down by the city, so he had to move, now i cant get in touch with him... |

Thanks Bart, once I get the nigglings done, it will make the bike an even bigger steal at right around $3k total. It was a great ride, nice and comfortable with no real agenda, no pressure, just ride the pace I was comfortable with. Which with what needs work on the Duc to fit me, made a good aggressive ride a bit on the very uncomfortable side. Bart pointed out some things, and I intend to hit the suspension clinic coming up through AZ Sportbike Rental/AZ Trackday late this month. BTW Bart, I know what your passenger weight limit is...but what is your passenger Height limit? If she makes the weight it doesn't matter if she is 3 inches taller? |

Question: If I trade the ECm out, would it be safe to ride before doing a reset? AKA, I have already put in a new ecm's into both bikes, now I need to have them reset. I am willing to travel, i just dont know if that is safe, nor good on the bike. Thanks, Alex |

Duke, it shouldn't hurt your bike at all, and will probably help it. If you ride the bike for about 5 miles around 3500 RPM's the ECM will adjust to accomodate the changes. This is what we used to do in the days before ECMspy. |

I live in N. Az and headed to Phoenix next week. I'd like to check out a CR while I'm there. 1. Is anyone aware of a dealer that has a CR on the floor? 2. Which dealers in Phx still handle Buell? Thanks, M |

Milar i just visited Chandler Harley today on my tire scrub ride, and they had a few of them. They are on Chandler Blvrd, and the I-10. What part of N. AZ do you live? |

well racing is about to start up again, who's comin? i've gotten with the store and we are going to have shade, food and drinks for everyone who comes out. we need your support out there, lets show the local racers and the dealership we want racing and the dealer to support the local riders and racers. p3(wayne) is going to work the bbq and the store is providing the food and drinks. gonna have plenty of shade and i'll bring as many chairs as i have. talking with the general manager about having some sort of coupon for anyone who comes out. still working out the last details but it looks like we'll have a couple bikes out there on display and brad from the parts dept will be out on sunday to answer questions and hang out. what does everyone think and do you have any suggestions? raceday is sunday sept 13th with trackday on saturday september 12th. is anyone interested in doing trackdays? i can talk to the organization and see if i can get us a group discount. post up and lets hear what you have to say. -andrew |

Andrew, Most definitly any trackday discount you can get for people would help. The track days here are twice as much as they are in Deming or Albuquerque, and the track is flat! Free food and drink should bring in even the unhappiest customers, and perhaps some of the curious jap brand riders. Bringing out a couple of bikes for display is an excellent idea, after folks get a glimpse of you on your bike, they can check out the new bikes and perhaps get bit by the Buell bug. Good luck with your racing this year! Wycked, Nice pic! I'm bummed, you went out riding with out me! LOL I may be free this Monday! |

Id be up for a trackday as long as there was a novice division...and my bike wasnt leaking from the primary. Tracks were hours away from me in Florida. Im really looking forward to the opportunity here in Az. Ill come watch on the 13th if I dont have to work. ******************************************* Sorry to threadjack, but is there anyone (knowledgable) here that wouldnt mind assisting me in changing the primary gasket on my 00 M2? I have the manual and tools, but not the experience. Im apprehensive to take this one on my own. You dont even have to lift a wrench. Just point and tell me what to do. Compensation for assistance will NOT be refused! Beer, gas money, lunch, labor $... Anything would be appreciated, as Chandler HD wants a rediculous amount of money to do the job. They also told me it takes 8 hrs labor just to get to the engine. Riiiight. -Travis 480-299-1382 |

I will be on my way home sometime Monday from Cali Bart. That was an MSRP ride btw with another group. Still need tires, but getting more in tune with how the bike likes to be handled. Andrew, I would love to do a track day, but as I don't currently, and do not see in the near future a Buell, puts a damper on my fun. Post some dates so we know when we need to come down to support you though, that helps. Not all of us are in for the racing aspect, but do enjoy the track days, so we don't follow the CCS schedule. |

My 2 buddies don't own Buells. I seem to be the only guy on base with one. I've only seen a handful, and none with regularity other than my roomates 1125r. You should see the looks on the guards faces when I pull up, they don't know what to think about the bike! |
