As the title states. I bought a pulley off ebay an eternity ago and up until now I have yet to do the conversion back to belt from chain. I'm thinking about doing it now but I was wondering if there is a way to tell before I go and start taking my bike apart only to put on another 03 pulley. Thanks |

my 03 idler pulley only has one bearing most have 2. Early idlers had only one. From what I gather it is rare to have the one bearing. FYI. two bearings will not fit in this single bearing pulley. DAMHIK. |

From what I recall, the difference in the 03 and 04+ when I did my swap was in the pulley bracket, not the pulley itself. There may have been changes to the bearings, but the functional difference was in the bracket. I've used 03 and 04+ pulleys interchangeably... |

What was the difference in the bracket? 04+ longer? That's what it looks like when I compare pictures. |

I don't have the two side by side, sorry. Length was the difference, but I can't remember which. |

idler pulleys themselves are identical! brackets are diff. 04 bracket is a tad longer and has a different angle on it. |
