Anyone but an xb instrument cluster on an X1? I have an aftermarket fairing, so the flyscreen ain't an issue for me. Is it a matter of making a new connector for the cluster to send the right signal to the right pin or what? |

Humm, In theory yes. I believe Joe's Buell has an XB engine in a tuber with a tuber cluster. But, I would have a XB manual as well as my X1 manual handy. And I would check the wiring layout, check number and type of sensor against each other ETC. If I remember right all connections on the X1 are loop terminal, unsure on XB dash. But with a length of stock XB harness and the manuals you could strip the XB leads and tape to the loop terminals when you think you have everything sorted out for a test run. Best of luck on the change over and PICTURES please! |

Nope, Joesbuell has a Tuber motor, XB swingarm, wheels and forks. Here's his dash:

The xb rpm gauge is run off the ecm, not sure how you would get that to work. |
