Hello, I just moved from Georgia to Watts Bar Lake. I'm renting a house on the east side of the lake about 50 miles from Deals Gap so, I'll be over there a lot. I'm not very familiar with the middle part of the state and thought I might ask some of you to show me around this summer. |

Hey guys, anyone want to go to the Dragon April 15-18. There are guys from BuellForums and BuelletinBoard in on it already. We'll be staying at the Deal's Gap Motorcycle Resort this year. I think we'll have about 12-15 guys this year.

Well the Dragon is shut down, thanks TDOT. Still going, lots of other good roads to ride, just no easy way to get there now. |

Dragon is open, if you come from the south. The north entrance is blocked.
So, its really quiet up there since you can't enter from the north. This would be great time to ride it.

Actually, they shut it down at the state line. I was in Blue Ridge, GA for the weekend, rode up Friday afternoon to ride it. Stopped at Deal's Gap for a burger when I heard the bad news. TDOT placed a steel barrier and guard at the state line.

Update on the Dragon from Deal's Gap Motorcycle Resort...
Friday April 2
Good morning and a happy good friday to everyone. Things contiue to move forward on getting the Dragon reopened by Wen next week. Waiting now for all the paperwork to be signed so the barricade can be moved.
Key things to remember:
1- It will not be one way traffic, you have to turn around and come back to the resort.
2- Two way traffic will mean crossing the double yellow puts you at risk as well as other motorcycle riders. Will resault in serious injury or a fatality.
3- THP will patrol ever day until the slide is gone, this is for our protection NOT I say again NOT to write endless tickets and use it as a revinue builder.
Easy stuff gang, we can have the Dragon for once without semi traffic on it. No word yet when the road will be open for thru traffic that will be up to the rock slide when they bring it down. But just at $2 million for the winning contract I do not see it as taking long or they will be losing money fast.} |

If you can wait until the 8th, I have a couple of friends from GA meeting me in Tellico for a day. I haven't changed my profile info yet but, I am now in Ten Mile, TN. If you want to ride some other time just let me know when and where, I'd love to learn some lesser known roads in the area. |

I may have a few friends coming from west TN that same weekend. I'm not sure if they would want to ride to knoxville area since its about a 4 hour drive one way. I'll suggest it and get back with you. |

I will be with a few riders (family members, fz6/R1) in the east TN area on the 8th. They have not decided what to do as of now.
Yall going over the cherry cola? 68 south of tellico is awesome! I just rode that this past weekend.
I also hear Maxium of Denver will be traveling thru the area sunday w/ etennuly. |

As of right now, we plan on riding across Cherohala. Other than that, it's kind of up in the air. My cousin will be on his '77 BMW R100 which has been without a clutch for about a year so, he is pretty anxious to get out and ride, and another friend of mine will be riding up on his CBR 1000. We will most likely meet at the Cherohala Market (Exxon) in Tellico Plains.
68 from Tellico to Ducktown is an excellent ride. |

I've been looking and listening but for the last 3 months I've been figuring out what's up with my shoulder. 2 weeks ago I had it repaired. Now all 4 muscles in my rotator cuff are attached.
I'm still out 4-6 weeks for PT before I'll chance riding.
