I'm considering parting out my bike and going back to the stock ECM. I have a Jardine pipe and no exhaust servo. Can the exhaust servo option be removed from the ECM so there aren't any trouble codes? Thanks! | ||

There are two ways. One: If you have ecmSpy and a pre 08 bike, you can simply turn off the servo. I don't know if this can be done on an 08+ model so I make no comment on that. Two: If you don't have ecmSpy you can purchase from American Sport Bike a small servo emulator that plugs in in place of the servo and tricks the ecm into thinking the servo is hooked up. | ||

If you go back to stock ecm with the Jardine I would seriously consider getting it tuned. | ||

Sorry I don't have enough knowledge to feel comfortable answering that. I don't want to give bad advice. I know 04-07 will bolt right in but the mapping is different between them. I don't know if this would be a problem considering it's going to be remapped but I just can't say for sure. So maybe this post will bump it up and some one who does know will take a look. | ||

I did the lazy way and just left the servo cable hanging down there. Haven't had any problems yet... Not saying its the right way to do it but it is a way. | ||

You will want a 04 or 05 XB12 ECM. Later years have different mappings due to various airbox changes. Funny thing is, a new DDFI2 stock ECM costs more than a new DDFI2 race ECM. |
