I was pretty excited to put the 97 tail on my 2000 cyclone. Love the way it looks compared to what I had before. However... that seat is uncomfortable!! I had heard from other riders on the site that this was the case (at the time I convinced myself that I was tough and could handle it), but wow, after just 45 minutes I was looking forward to getting off the bike! Does anyone know if the corbin is much better. I've seen that seat on the 97 cyclones; it might take some digging to find one. What we go through for the sake of looking cool. |

Personally I like the stock M2L Seat as well as the M2 normal seat. |

i've got the select pegasus seat on my m2 and i love it. had a corbin and even had it reworked and it just killed me. my buddy on the other hand loved it. when the daughers boyfriend bought the bike from him, he had to take the corbin off and put a different seat that i had on it. some people love them and like me, others can't. you should try and fine someone who has it on their bike and sit on it before you spend any money on it. good luck. |

He's talking about the 97-98 style. They didn't have select seats or Low seats for those years. Anyways, the Corbin for the 97-98 was more Comfy, so I heard. I haven't gotten around to getting my bike back together, but I've got both the stock 97 and Corbin for 97, seems more comfy anyways. PM Guell and ask how he likes the 97 Corbin, he's got one and has been riding on it for awhile now, IIRC he loves it way more than the stocker. |

My brother has a Corbin on his '97. He loves it and has done many day-long rides on it. He said the original was unbearable. |

All those skinny seats are too tall in the nose, if you scoop it out a bit it flattens it out and helps quite a bit (it did on my S1 seat anyway). I can post or email pics of the foam cut away I did if you'd like to take on the project yourself. Not sure if Gowindward is a sponsor or not but he is building a business doing custom covers and such, maybe you could get with him and figure out how to modify it to not only look cool but be ride-able as well. |

I know its not the same, but Ive got a corbin seat on my 2000 Cyclone. It was the best thing I could have put on the bike. Love it!! |

I've got a Corbin on my 97, its pretty comfortable. I've never been on a 99 or newer M2 so I can't compare. After an hour I do look forward to getting off though. |
