My bike had a battery go out and it is not with me, I'm in a motel and the battery dealer needs the numbers off the battery so he can do a cross reference, he has no listing for 2004 XB12R in his m/c batteries.

Can somebody check their battery and post me some numbers? I know 200cca but that's about it. Nearest HD dealer does not have one ...any others are an hour plus away.

The bike is in a buddies garage and he is working until 6 so I can't check myself.

Appreciate any help guys...

Pete

Interstate part number for 2004 XB12R is FAYTX14; 200CCA 12AH. Hope this helps.

If you are near an Auto Zone, you could get a Magna Power GTX14-BS.

If I recall it fit fine, but needed a couple of little washers under the connectors, or something like that.

Can't you push start it and run it off the stator? Or jump it from another car and run off the stator?

Thanks guys! I am in Lewes Delaware, packed the XB in the back of the Ranger and drove down 560 miles from the Adirondacks to visit my son and grandchildren and do a little good weather riding, the battery was suspect and it sh*t the bed at my buddies. I rode home bit*h....my son driving on his Yammie... boy that bike is not made for a passenger...riding 2 up ain't my thing...LOL

I took the Interstate # from Odie and went to a local rice shop and they filled and charged a good YUSA, real friendly folks. Picked up a nice black full face brain bucket with a little box rub on the back for 40 bucks.... great prices and no freakin New York tax. They had some really nice gear... Might go back tomorrow!

Bike is on the road and the weather here tomorrow is in the high 70's... raining at home and 52 as a high..

Guys, thanks a bunch, I brought my shop and parts manuals with me and they didn't help, motel has a computer in the lobby and fer shure....Badwebbers really are the best!

Pete

Oh yeah, please have a cop come to my motel room.

That may not be as reassuring as you think.

Good point Tim but I am just cruising down here, you could count the twisties I will ride in lower Delaware in one hand, the battery gets me on the road with no down time, so I can finish my season. Nearest dealer with a sealed battery was a three hour drive to Annapolis and would have killed the day, I spent fifty bucks and was on the road on the bike.... good times!

I'll get a sealed battery when I put it out in the spring.

Pete
