My S2 did not come with a manual, so I turn to you: Just what in the name of wild wild sports does this adjust?
Thanks! will |

It is a type of throttle lock. A very poor one at that. |

Yeah, kind of crude but nice to have on a long trip! Changing out the plastic slider inside helps keep them working better. Brad |

I use mine all the time . . . and love it . . . but I'd never say that publicly.

Ahh very good....thanks gentlemen. I'll have to give it a try. I purchased a "throttle rocker" and love it. Well worth the $10 i paid for it. BTW frank, i did your velcro seat mod hahaha.....i couldnt get the seat lock to unlock, so i "hack-sawed" the little retaining bar off. needed something to hold the saddle on! Now back to the Backfire Board to read political insanity! will |

i did your velcro seat mod I have since changed it and need to post pics... I still use velcro, it works and handy when checking the oil... I did a mod to get rid of the screw but still have the ability to lock the throttle. I need to find that as well... LOL} |

Mine is gone. Oh well, never used it anyway. I do use the idle adjustment knob often though to let the bike idle higher in colder weather until it warms up. |

Fran, I'd love to see the Velcro mod. My Corbin doesn't latch too well. On mine or my son's. Actually I also use the throttle lock frequently. I've got the part numbers around here somewhere... I'll post them if I can track them down. Brad |

I used a long strip of velcro and it works a lot better. Before I had cut pieces to attach to the rubber stops on the bottom of the seat which came off often. The long piece over the rubber stops works great,

Brad, I would recommend going the route Gowindward did and make a mounting crew that attaches to the seat pan. The only think you would have to do it take the seat apart unless you can do it form the bottom of the pan. I cannot find the thread but it is here somewhere. Frank |

Thanks Frank, I'll have to see if I can find that thread. I've been out of the loop for a week or so. Also, as promised, here's the part numbers for the throttle friction parts for S2's. Friction Spring #56396-74A Screw Kit Throttle #56397-74C The first is for the spring that goes on the scres, the second is for the screw, e-clip and the friction slider. Brad |
