installed but I cant find the manual to tell me whether there is a horn relay on the XB12X Ulysses?? apparently it should show on the wiring diagram. Does anybody know as I have fitted it and it works great but just dont know if I need to install the supplied relay that comes with it. Any help would be great |

I know my '08 XB12R didn't have a relay for the horn. I don't think your bike does either. Nautilus supplies the relay so you can run a larger wire to supply power to your new horn. It probably draws more amps than the stock horn. (Message edited by xbrfirebolt on September 23, 2009) |

That horn pulls more current than your stock one - you should install the relay. I've got the nautilus too and it pulls enough current to dim the headlights a bit if honked while the bike is idling! |

You need to use the relay and separate wiring, it can blow a fuse with the stock wiring. |

Thanks. I knew it was better to be safe than sorry. No TV tonight! I'll be in the garage! |
