I will give you the quick version so as not to bore all of you with details. About eight weeks ago a young kid in a new vette wiped me out while I was on my CR. I broke my right arm and left thumb a few stitches and staples but otherwise ok. The bike took it pretty well but the instrument cluster is toast. The plastics are scratched. My problem is the closest buell dealership is over 300 miles away. I figure I can handle the repairs myself using the insurance money to get the parts but I'm wondering if a dealer has to install the cluster for it to work. Thanks in advance. |

As far as I know, it's plug and play. I believe there's a 30 minute countdown, once you plug it in, and then the IC is married to your ECM. |
