OK got a tank from Bart nice tank, one issue my bikes Carbed and its an Fi tank Anyone know how to convert the tank to a Standard petcock |

You can't convert it. Fuel injected bikes have two holes in the bottom of the tank. The carb'ed one has a mounting flange for the petcock. I did the swap on mine, at first i gutted the fuel pump and let the fuel just run to the carb. No shut off, no filter. Get a tank for a carb. 98 S3 or M2. All but the first year M2 will work. |

well I am deployed right now so no I am not in killeen right now but that is were i am stationed. there is another badwebber on here from killeen too though (lovedabueller) keith who just traded his m2 for wrecked 1125 that he is restoring. |

Trade tanks with someone. I had a carbed manta tank and wanted to swap to FI - less than a week after posting in the classifieds I found another member willing to trade tanks. From the looks of the bottom of the two tanks side by side, I think a person could replace the fuel pump with a petcock, but why bother? |
