Has anybody noticed their Neutral Indicator Light & Gear Indicator flash intermittently? It happened to me today, in 2nd & 3rd gears / 3,000 - 3,500 rpm / 25-40 mph range. Is this a special double secret probation code or is it my first warranty issue? Thoughts... Regards, Terp |

Never seen the neutral indicator inappropriately on my 1125 (The one on my old Blast was on constantly). I assume though that you do know the gear indicator will go to "--" when you clutch. |

Yes, the gear indicator was cycling between "--" and the engaged gear number. At the same time "--" showed on the cluster, the neutral light would illuminate. |

You must have an 09 cluster on an 08, my 08 doesn't have the gear indicator. I never had a problem with the neutral light. It sounds like it could be a loose connection somewhere. |

You are correct. The dealer upgraded to an 09 cluster. I rode the bike today and did not notice the flashing. Damn gremlins! Terp |

If the gear indicator normally shows "--" when it is in neutral, then there is a good chance of a bad connection in the neutral wiring. I don't have diagrams or the cluster to test this. |

It sounds like a topic during my next visit to the dealer. Thanks. |
