When coming to a stoplight after passing below 30mph the front brakes make that high pitched squeaking sound all the way to stop. How do I make it quit? I'm about 1000 miles into this set of pads (Lyndall Golds), so there's plenty of pad thickness left. Re-used that really thin sheet metal backing plate with all the holes in it when I installed the pads. |

Sounds like you just need to wash your rotor REAL good and get whatever brake dust that is there off |

You could try chamfering the leading edge of your brake pads. |
