Just saw this over at Asphalt & Rubber. Makes me wonder if it would have been cheaper to keep the doors open at a company that had a proven record at the race track. Most of the Harley riders I know, when the saw the XR1200, looked at it like it was some kind of abomination. http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/banter/ama-pro-rac ing-adds-harley-davidson-xr1200-racing-class/ |

H-D IS BACK RACING! Finally Harley-Davidson gets it! Spend 245 million dollars Closing Buell american sport bikes down, then start there own Harley-Davidson sportbike XR1200 racing to replace Buell. My god do they know how to make money, they even got there own special racing class now made only for the XR1200. Imagine the Amazing lap times and high speed racing to look forward to this summer with riders racing Harley-Davidson XR1200's around the tracks. Harley-Davidson motorcycles finishing 1-2-3 in every race to the AMA Championship. Just the advertising alone that the H-D XR1200 is the 2010 AMA championship race winner on H-D T-shirts sold in H-D dealerships will replace the sales they lost from closing Buell sport motorcycles. Let alone the sales increase in XR1200 motorcycles at there dealerships. Buy a bike + buy the race kit = instant GREAT handling full power championship winning race bike. Harley-Davidson XR1200 AMA 2010 championship winning sport motorcycles! WOW it's almost a joke when you think about it? It will look like Retro-racing on a brand new 2010 XR1200 motorbikes? |

BEEN THERE DONE THAT! after you ride one you leave with a big smile ( trying not to crack up in front of the salesman who is try to impress you with SH*T he knows nothing about). I do like the 48, a little more up the sporty fit/function design lane. |
