This may be a dumb question but I just bought a 2000 M2 and don't know much about it. There is a rubber line that is connected to ports in the valve covers behind the air cleaner that runs down behind the right foot peg that drips a small amount of oil when I get done riding. I have looked at pictures of other bikes on here and don't see the same setup. Any idea what this line is and/or why it drips oil? |

As the motor breathes it gets rid of any water vapor, or spooge, as we refer to it. From the factory that spooge was recycled back into the intake and burned off but one of the first things usually to do was to reroute that spooge out from the intake and into a catch can. Sounds like the previous owner was just running it to the ground. Do a search for catch cans and you will most likely find a similar setup. |
