Just curious, is there a way to have more gas so one can ride and ride and ride .... Something like a 2 gallons tank that sits on top and plugs into the fuel filler opening, and the gas cap will be capped this extra tank... Or some swingarm mounted luggage bag thing... but that would means pump, fuel lines, electrical, burns the bike to the ground... Or maybe I'm regret of buying the XB12Scg since I have to stop for gas every 130 miles or so, and that's with people said it's running lean because of the Jardine can, that I should get it remap before frying the valves... |

at highway speeds you SHOULD get 200 miles a tank. http://www.expeditionexchange.com/wedco/DSC08434.j pg strap it on and fill when needed. was pondering that for longer rides myself. |

I wanted to put some extra gas tank on the bike to. I now have hypercharger installed on bike so i have some extra free space under airbox cover, probably for 2 or 3 gallons. Did anybody made something like that? |

The short range is a nuisance but I find that I need a rest at about the same time so it works out. The 9R is not that comfortable that I could go 200 miles anyway. Not really an answer, just a different perspective. |

Hmm 4.5 extra gallons, that would be about 570 miles total of cruising range |

I saw a bike once with a 1/4 keg of beer for a spare tank, at least I hope it was for fuel and not for beer. |

Hmm 4.5 extra gallons, that would be about 570 miles total of cruising range I would only get about 375 miles before the fuel light would come on the second time. I think the Race ECM and Drummer may have had something to do with that..... OR it could have been because of all the wheelies. Its kinda hard not to do them when you have over 35 pounds of counter weight hang'n off the back end.... LOL |

Yea the problem is the keg being on the back, mount it to the front fairing to resolve that issue, but then you got to load up your side cases to keep everything balanced. |

I carry a little MSR camping fuel bottle with me for long rides. It should be enough gas to get me about 15-miles down the road. --Sean |

put the pelicans on the bike, and you can run with 4.5 extra gallons in each side. |

If you are going to get that kind of range, you need to put an extra oil tank on too with pumps to you can change out the oil with out stopping too. |

thanks for the compliment, and i'm getting my pipe that winter. Actually i'm not total sure which one but probably i'll get termignoni full system... i'll make a new post when my bike will be ready for next season, but right now i still have some time to ride, so no mods for about one or two month |
